Cloud solutions that can’t prove Information Security through ISO-27001 certification just do not stand the test of time. This is not surprising considering the rise in data breaches, cyberattacks, nation-state hacking incidents, and ransomware outbreaks. To protect themselves, global companies, enterprises, and governments are heavily investing in cybersecurity.
Worldwide spending on information security products and services exceeded $114 billion in 2018. According to Gartner, for 2022, they forecast the market to grow to $170,4 billion in 2022.
While organizations are increasingly aware of how important it is to implement an ISMS (Information Security Management System) that protects their business, this doesn’t always result in independent authentication. At Bluecrux, we are convinced of the win-win that a solid ISMS brings to a world-class solution like Binocs. Not only does it streamline our own operations, it also represents an IT cost-saving of at least 15K USD/year for the IT departments at our clients because of the reduced auditing and vendor management cost.
ISO/ IEC 27001
The ISO/IEC 27001 is the best-known certification for ISMS standards and is internationally recognized as a top tier certification. It specifies a management system that is intended to bring information security under management control and gives specific requirements.
Quality and security at Binocs: ISO-27001 certification
Quality and security are one of the top priorities at Binocs. We also want to ensure our customers and partners that Binocs handles data according to the highest standards in information security in the business. Moreover, our clients only accept cloud solutions from ISO 27001 certified vendors. So at the end of 2018, we initiated a process to be compliant with ISO 27001.
Our clients only accept cloud solutions from ISO27001 certified vendors.
To achieve the certification, Binocs partnered with LRQA (part of Lloyds Register) with UKAS as an accreditation body. The rigorous certification process included on-site audits at our offices to verify 100 points of data control.
At the beginning of this year, we got the official confirmation that we are ISO/IEC 27001* certified!
The business benefits from ISO 27001 certification are considerable. Not only do the standards to help ensure that a business’s security risks are managed cost-effectively, but the adherence to the recognized standards send a valuable and message to customers and business partners: Binocs does things the correct way! At this moment, none of our Binocs direct competitors is certified! ISO 27001 is invaluable for monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving a company’s information security management systems and will give partner organizations and customers greater confidence in the way they interact with us.
By achieving the ISO 27001 certification, we apply a huge number of controls across the entire organization to ensure:
- We treat your data securely
- Throughout all the operations and the full lifecycle of your SaaS instance
- With fast disaster recovery within the hour
A big thank you to our consulting and product teams for this great achievement!
