Senior Consultant Supply Chain Planning in FMCG

About the role

  • You take responsibility for a functional workstream in global transformation projects, with a focus on FMCG projects where possible, and keep track of deliverables and milestones of the workstream.

  • You leverage your unique expertise and your deep understanding of the FMCG business complexities to provide consultancy support truly tailored to the needs of the customer, ensuring a lasting, successful planning transformation.

  • You prepare & host client workshops in order to detect the client’s needs and the challenges that are tied to their planning and broader supply chain.

  • You manage to gather all necessary information, while looking at the big picture, ensuring all stakeholders are involved and aligned.

  • You contribute to strategic supply chain-wide transformation that drives growth, reduces costs and sparks innovation.

  • You co-create and design the playbook together with the client, creating documents for the new way of working both on process and on organizational level.

  • You provide guidance during the implementation process ensuring it happens in a smooth and structured manner.

  • You contribute to the implementation alongside the client in making the transformation real.

  • You’re responsible for the follow-up of your workstream in the project in order to ensure client satisfaction.

  • You are open to travel.

  • You assume a coaching role and guide your customer towards their goals.

  • You guide change and help carry out improvements.

About you

  • You have built extensive relevant planning experience in one or more FMCG companies, providing you with a thorough understanding of the planning challenges and supply chain complexities in the demand and supply planning of fast-moving consumer goods.

  • You have valuable insights and experience in the largely event-driven and dynamic nature of the low-margin FMCG business, requiring top-class, highly efficient S&OP and other processes and technology-enabled automated solutions. These insights make you a trusted advisor in highly complex planning transformations.

  • You hold a master’s degree in engineering or economics. An MBA is a plus.

  • You have at least 4-8 years of experience in supply chain & operations, from which at least 2 years in consulting or in project management.

  • You have experience with planning activities.

  • You’re a team player. Your team’s goal is to deliver transformation, drive growth, reduce costs and spark innovation.

  • You get a kick out of delivering strategic insights to people and help them grow within their company.

  • You have a valid driver’s license or will obtain this in the next 6 months.
