Streamline your Supply Chain through QC integration
Enhancing Efficiency and Collaboration
Enhancing Efficiency and Collaboration
In the fast-paced world of pharmaceuticals, effective integration between Quality Control (QC) and Supply Chain (SC) is crucial. Misalignment between these functions lead to inefficiencies, increased costs, and delayed time-to-market. Bluecrux consulting & SaaS solutions offer a robust and comprehensive approach to harmonize QC and SC operations, ensuring streamlined processes, improved communication, and enhanced decision-making.
QC and SC functions often still operate independently, leading to firefighting, misaligned targets and blame culture.
It’s not always easy for QC and SC to speak the same language.. Even basic terminologies like “batch” and “campaign” have different meanings in QC and SC contexts.
QC lacks the tools or reports to be an equal partner at the table. The lack of visibility makes it difficult to push back against incoming demand from SC, leading to reactive, rather than proactive, operations.
Up to 55% of total lead time and 45% of work-in-process inventory are tied up in QC due to lack of QC/SC integration.
At AstraZeneca, the Binocs implementation began with a proof of concept at three sites in 2022 and expanded to 21 rollouts across all remaining sites. The project aimed to enhance site and network planning visibility, establishing a single trusted source of truth for data and planning insights. This integration has led to more accountable and data-driven decision-making, aligning priorities and improving overall efficiency.
The Bluecrux team provided the expertise and knowledge we needed to develop and design sustainable processes, allowing us to build our internal capabilities and enhance our QC collaboration with supply chain planning.
Bluecrux’s solution, through both process design as well as our own SaaS software Binocs, addresses these challenges by providing a unified, data-driven approach to QC and SC integration:
